Level 1 Health & Safety in Construction Environment is an approved CSCS qualification for the CSCS Labourer (green) card application. It is an ideal course for those who want to or are working in the construction and civil engineering industry. To show competency on-site and to employers, delegates will need to complete this course and also acquire a CSCS Labourer Card.

There are no subsidiary requirements for those who attend the Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment. The delegate must also be able to understand a good level of English. This includes reading, writing, and speaking English. Photographic ID must be provided on the first day of the course. The course will start at 8:00 am, failure to attend the course at the correct time and date will result in a failure. Those who attend the course will also need to be present for the entire duration to pass the qualification. Delegates will be removed from the course if the requirements are not met.
After successfully passing the Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment qualification, delegates will hold a qualification that shows their understanding of safety in a construction environment. They can also apply for the Health, Safety and Environment Test. Those who qualify for the CSCS Labourers (Green) Card can apply for it here. The CSCS Card will be valid for 5 years. After these 5 years, the delegate will need to re-take the Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment, as well as their Health Safety and Environment test.
